‼️ 𝗜𝗠𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗔𝗡𝗧 𝗡𝗢𝗧𝗜𝗖𝗘

We wish to reassure you that @impactinstituteau - host of the Melbourne Disability Expo has no association with another expo originally scheduled this week at MCEC (not hosted by us).

Our dates remain unchanged, 20-21 November.

We have become aware that another disability expo that was scheduled to run in Melbourne this weekend (hosted by another organisation) is no longer going ahead.

We understand that there has been no communication from the organisers to exhibitors who have booked exhibition space, nor attendees who have registered to attend. Venue security is in place to turn people away.

Unfortunately, there is some confusion around the official dates of our expo - especially as AI and other sources conflate the two events.

To avoid any confusion, we want to reiterate that the one and only Melbourne My Future, My Choice Disability Expo:
• will be held on 20–21 November 2026
• will be at Door 1, Melbourne Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The ONLY trusted sources you should use for the Melbourne Disability Expo are:
• this Instagram account and our Facebook page
• the Melbourne Disability Expo website page (link in bio)

For more than 11 years, ImpactInstitute has proudly delivered the My Future, My Choice Disability Expo series across Australia.

We greatly value the trust placed in us by exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and the wider disability community.

Throughout that time, we have remained committed to transparency, consistency and delivering high-quality events that serve people with disability, their families and carers and the broader disability community.

See you all in Melbourne on the 20 - 21 November.

Head of Events and Marketing

We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Brisbane Disa We are thrilled to announce our 2026 Brisbane Disability Expo Ambassador, @chloewiggart! 💙

Chloe Wigg is an award-winning artist, public speaker, and advocate for community engagement and improvement. After retiring from a career as a paramedic, Chloe turned to art, first as a creative practice for her own wellbeing, and increasingly as a tool for advocacy and connection.

This year, Chloe is an Emerging Leader with Queensland Disability Network and was a 60 Second Finalist at TEDxBrisbane, advocating for co-design and seamless accessibility ahead of the Brisbane 2032 Olympics. She is currently developing her new project, Adapted, which investigates what is gained in function – and lost in identity.

Come meet Chloe as she takes the stage at 11:00 am on Friday, 30 October to share her story. See you there!

It’s a value-add that saves time for everybody, leading to smoother conversations and more connections.

Kudos to @feroscare and @abilityamore who topped the leaderboard in most leads acquired through ConnectMe!
