Cocoon’s focus lies in creating tailor-made specialist disability homes and providing exceptional care, catering to individuals with severe functional impairments and/or extensive support requirements stemming from their disabilities.
One of the residents who has benefited from Cocoon’s services is Stipan in Victoria. Stipan’s journey in care has been a remarkable one, marked by resilience and positive transformation. After moving through various locations, he found a home at Cocoon SDA Care that finally allowed him to settle.
Proximity to family and a view of the outside world became crucial for him. The pivotal role in Stipan’s development belongs to his dedicated Team Leader, Brenton, and the supportive Service Manager, Angela.
With 9 years of building trust and maintaining routine, Brenton’s proactive leadership and communication skills have been instrumental. Angela ensures Stipan’s welfare remains a priority, treating him with the respect he deserves as an adult.
Despite initial challenges, Stipan now actively volunteers, plays sports, and explores the community. His journey reflects the transformative power of a supportive environment and a dedicated team.
